Neil Boyd is the David J. '85 & Deborah West Professor in Management and Professor of Management & Organizations at Bucknell University, serving as the Department Chair. He holds a PhD in Public Administration from The Pennsylvania State University (2003), an MBA (1992), an MA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Notre Dame (1990), and a BA in Psychology from Bloomsburg University (1986).
His research focuses on community, public service motivation, organizational behavior, and sustainability. He explores how organizational cultures and structures foster community experiences, employee well-being, and engagement in public and non-profit sectors. Recent work emphasizes sustainability in higher education and crisis management.
Awards include the 2020 Campus Sustainability Champion and 2017 Barry R. Maxwell Award. He teaches courses like Management Consulting, Organizational Forms, and Exploring Management.
