Nathan Workman

Nathan Workman is a Lecturer in Media and Cultural Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As a PhD candidate, his research examines streaming technologies, platforms, and digital cultural forms with focus on gender and sexual identity representation.

His dissertation explores how internet-distributed television transforms representations of gender and sexuality within new media infrastructures. Workman teaches courses on television industries and media history while serving as managing editor for The Velvet Light Trap academic journal.
