Nadia E. Brown

Nadia E. Brown is a Professor of Government at Georgetown University, where she also serves as Director of the Women's and Gender Studies Program and an affiliate in the African American Studies program. Her scholarship bridges political science, Black studies, and gender theory through an intersectional lens.

Her research focuses on Black women’s political participation, legislative decision-making, and the politics of appearance. She co-leads a National Science Foundation-funded initiative to combat sexual harassment in political science and contributes to public discourse via her editorship at The Monkey Cage blog in The Washington Post.
