Myra L. Mathis

Myra L. Mathis, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She serves as Medical Director for Strong Recovery, UR Medicine's outpatient dual-diagnosis clinic with an Opioid Treatment Program.

Her research focuses on racial health equity, social justice in psychiatry, and medical education for substance use disorders. She has contributed to literature on opioid use disparities, culturally-centered interventions, and technology bias in healthcare.
