Prof. Dr. Mustafa İNCE is a full-time faculty member at Karabük University's Communication Faculty, holding the position of Professor in the Journalism Department since 2020. Previously, he served as Associate Professor (2019–2020), Doctor Lecturer (2017–2018), and Lecturer (2009–2016). He currently serves as Vice Dean and Head of Department at Karabük University. His academic journey includes a PhD in Journalism from Istanbul University (2013–2016) and a Master's in Printing Education from Marmara University (2008–2010), alongside a Bachelor's in Journalism from Istanbul University (1996–2000).
Prof. İNCE's research focuses on Journalism and Media Research with emphasis on media ethics, political communication, digital literacy, and cultural studies. Notable contributions include analyzing media portrayal of suicide, Marxist ideology in cinema, and the impact of AI on news writing. He has advised over a dozen postgraduate theses, including studies on social media usage among students and media influence on voter behavior.
He has authored/co-authored 114 publications, including books like Internet Haberciliği and Pozitif Düşünce ve İletişim. His work has been cited 234 times, earning awards such as the 2018 Young Researcher Award from Gazi University. Prof. İNCE has also participated in international conferences and serves as a referee for journals like Turkish Studies. His projects include studies on media perception of the Trump administration’s Jerusalem declaration and the influence of social media on youth behavior.
