Muhammad Usman Noor

Muhammad Usman Noor is a Lecturer at Universitas Indonesia since 2015 and a full-time PhD researcher at the University of Sheffield's School of Information, Journalism and Communication. His research focuses on information privacy, information governance, and records management, particularly exploring how these disciplines enhance organizational practices in Indonesia.

His PhD project, titled 'Inadvertent Disclosure by Employee on Personal Social Media: Indonesian Workforce Perspective,' is supervised by Jonathan Foster and Susan Oman. He is funded by a doctoral scholarship from the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (2021).

Usman's professional background in library science and record management drives his goal to improve records management awareness and practices in Indonesia. His work integrates academic and applied research to address contemporary challenges in digital privacy and organizational governance.
