Mthuthuzeli November is an emerging choreographer affiliated with the Dutch National Ballet Academy as an Associate starting from the 2024–2025 school year. Originating from South Africa, he began dancing at 15 through the Dance For All outreach program, won a gold medal at the South African Ballet Competition (2014), and danced with Cape Dance Company and Ballet Black in London. His choreographic works have premiered for prestigious institutions like The Royal Ballet (2024) and Zurich Ballet, blending African rhythms with classical dance traditions.
At the Dutch National Ballet Academy, he will collaborate with students and the teaching team to create educational projects that integrate diverse cultural influences into ballet, fostering innovation in storytelling and choreographic practice. This partnership marks a significant step in expanding the Academy’s global artistic perspectives.
