Cock Dieleman

Cock Dieleman is an Assistant Professor in Theatre Studies and Dramaturgy at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). His research focuses on theatre education, youth theatre, dramaturgy, and contemporary Dutch theatre. He has held roles such as Programme Director of Arts and Culture (2014–2017) and Knowledge Sharing Matchmaker at the Faculty of Humanities (2017–2018).

Education: Studied History at Utrecht University and Theatre Studies at the University of Amsterdam. Authored Inleiding in de dramaturgie (2020) and contributed to multiple publications through the Research Group Arts Education. Collaborated on the website Nederland Theaterland and served as Head of Education at Het Zuidelijk Toneel (1999–2005).

Current research includes the NRO-commissioned review study on influencing factors in arts education, focusing on interdisciplinarity, creativity, and learning outcomes in primary education.
