Dr. Morgaen Donaldson is Professor and Associate Dean for Research at the University of Connecticut's Neag School of Education, where she holds the Philip E. Austin Endowed Chair. She directs the Center for Education Policy Analysis, Research, and Evaluation (CEPARE) and co-leads the Connecticut COVID-19 Education Research Collaborative.

Research Focus: Conducts mixed-methods studies on educator evaluation systems, teacher retention, school leadership development, and teachers' unions, with emphasis on urban/rural contexts. Current projects include multi-state studies of principal development/evaluation across 23 districts.
Publications: Research spans quantitative and qualitative analyses of teacher evaluation reforms, principal leadership development, and equity in resource distribution. Recent work examines policy implementation challenges during COVID-19.
