Dr. Monique Lane is a tenured Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at Saint Mary's College of California's Kalmanovitz School of Education. A three-time UCLA alumna with expertise in urban schooling and equity-driven pedagogy, she co-directs the EdD in Educational Leadership for Equity and Social Change Program.

Dr. Lane’s recent publications span social media impacts on youth, healing practices in education, and activist identity formation, reflecting her commitment to liberatory education and community-centered research. Her 2021 book, Engendering #BlackGirlJoy, redefines educational practices through a Black feminist lens.
