Monika Gigerl

Monika Gigerl is a Professor of Social Science Teaching and Human Rights Education at the University College of Teacher Education Styria (PH Steiermark). She is affiliated with the Institute for Elementary and Primary Education and serves as the UNESCO Coordinator for the institution. Her teaching focuses on subject-specific and didactic in-depth studies in general education, democracy and values education, political education, human rights education, and inclusive didactics. She also leads a university learning workshop for general education.
