Marlene Zöhrer

Prof. Dr. Marlene Zöhrer is a University College Professor of Children's and Young Adult Literature and German Didactics at the University of Education Styria (PH Steiermark). She is affiliated with the Institute for Secondary General Education and serves as the Director of the KiJuLit Center for Research and Didactics of Children's and Young Adult Literature. Her research focuses on fictional and factual storytelling, multimodal narratives (e.g., picture books, graphic novels), school and extracurricular learning spaces, reading motivation, and literary criticism. She collaborates with the Institute for Elementary and Primary Education and contributes to the editorial board of the journal didacticum: Journal for (Subject) Didactics in Research and Teaching.
