Mohammad Shakerin

Mohammad Shakerin is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Energy and Process Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research focuses on renewable energy, thermal engineering, and energy storage systems, with a particular interest in district heating and sustainable building technologies. He teaches courses such as TEP4225 (Energy and Environment) and TEP4535 (Thermal Energy and Indoor Environment).

His work includes advancing energy systems design, optimizing heating/cooling systems with storage integration, and developing data-driven models for district heating grids. He has collaborated with institutions like Tallinn University of Technology on projects addressing cold-climate energy challenges.

Shakerin’s research emphasizes practical applications of energy technologies in large-scale building systems, aiming to enhance efficiency and sustainability. His recent publications reflect expertise in both theoretical and applied aspects of energy engineering.
