Mohamed Nafea is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) department at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Previously, he held positions at the University of Detroit Mercy and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Georgia Tech. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University in 2018, along with a Master’s in Mathematics from the same institution in 2017, and a Bachelor's from Alexandria University in Egypt. His research focuses on fair machine learning, causal reasoning, federated learning, and information security/privacy.
