Mirjam Boggasch

Prof. Dr. Mirjam Boggasch has been Rektorin (Rector) of the University of the Arts Bremen since July 2023. She previously held a Professorship in Music Education at the HfM Karlsruhe from 2009 and served as Prorektorin (Vice-Rector) there from 2019 until her move to Bremen.

  • Studied school music and educational sciences at the Berlin University of the Arts
  • Degree in German studies at Freie Universität Berlin
  • Diploma in instrumental pedagogy (Cello) at HfM Hanns Eisler Berlin
  • Doctorate in music pedagogy at Universität der Künste Berlin

Her career spans teaching music and German at Bavarian grammar schools, designing practice-oriented music education models, and leading teacher training programs. At HfM Karlsruhe, she collaborated with cultural actors on music and art mediation projects and participated in academic governance as a Senate and University Council member.
