Miriam Brenck is a Researcher at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig, Germany, working within the Department of Environmental Policy under the Environment & Society research unit. She has been with UFZ since 2020, following a prior research position at the institution from 2011 to 2016 in the Department of Economics.
Her research focuses on environmental policy with particular emphasis on climate adaptation strategies and urban sustainability planning. Brenck has made significant contributions to the Natural Capital Germany (TEEB DE) project, which examines the economic value of nature for human wellbeing.
