Dr. Mingye Ma is a Lecturer at the University of Southampton, affiliated with the Economic Theory and Experimental Economics group and the Centre for Behavioural Experimental Action and Research (C-BEAR). His research focuses on behavioral and experimental economics, particularly social learning, imitation decisions, and decision-making under ambiguity. He investigates how luck influences imitation behavior and how individuals update beliefs with ambiguous signals.
Current research explores experimental evidence from lab and field settings to address questions about belief updating and imitation dynamics. Dr. Ma teaches Microeconomics, Behavioral Economics, Experimental Economics, and Game Theory. He is currently accepting PhD applications in his areas of research.
