Ming Tai

Ming Tai is an Adjunct Associate Professor and Chair of the Graphic Design Department at ArtCenter College of Design. With over 25 years of industry experience, he is a veteran motion design creator and designer, co-founding MFactor Inc. in 2002, which earned multiple Emmys and international recognition. He has collaborated with major brands like FOX, Warner Bros, NFL, and Bloomberg. Prior to MFactor, he was a Senior Designer at Fox Sports' in-house agency.

At ArtCenter since 2002, Tai teaches courses such as Mid-Level Portfolio Review, Final Portfolio Review, Graphic Design Internship, and specializes in Motion Design and Sequential Design. His research and teaching focus on integrating industry standards with academic training, emphasizing motion graphics, branding, and digital media innovation.

Awarded multiple Emmys and international design accolades, Tai’s work bridges artistic creativity with technical proficiency. He has held leadership roles including Faculty Director of Motion Design and currently chairs the Graphic Design Department, shaping curricula and industry partnerships.
