Millie Hutton

Dr. Millie Hutton is an Assistant Professor of Accountancy at the University of Mississippi's Patterson School of Accountancy. Her research examines how accounting information impacts capital market participants, with focus areas relevant to regulators and standard setters.

She holds a B.S. in Accounting (2016), M.A.C in Accounting (2017), and Ph.D. in Accounting (2024) from the University of Alabama. Prior to academia, Dr. Hutton worked for three years in assurance at Ernst & Young's New Orleans office and maintains active CPA licenses in Louisiana and Alabama.
