Mikolaj Stanek Baranowski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Communication at the University of Salamanca, where he serves as Deputy Director of the Master's Degree in Public Services and Social Policies and Coordinator of the Degree in Sociology. His academic journey includes a PhD in Sociology (Complutense University of Madrid, 2008) and a degree in Sociology (Nicolaus Copernicus University, Torun, with a National Prize from the Polish Sociological Association).
His research focuses on Migration, Demographic Dynamics, Labor Market Integration, and Immigrant Health, particularly in reproductive outcomes and social stratification. Recent projects include Social inequalities in access to voluntary pregnancy termination (DESIVE, funded by Spain's Ministry of Science) and Understanding migration mobility patterns (HumMingBird, Horizon 2020).
