Mikhail Medvedev

Mikhail Medvedev is a full-time Professor at the University of Kansas in the Department of Physics & Astronomy. He is an APS Fellow and has held visiting positions at the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton) and the Niels Bohr International Academy (Denmark). His academic career at KU progressed from Assistant to Associate to Full Professor since 2002.

• Accretion dynamics around compact objects

Publications: His research has produced influential work on jitter radiation, magnetic field evolution in GRBs, and cosmic ray effects on biodiversity. Recent papers focus on accretion physics, plasma self-organization, and wave-particle interactions.
