Mike Ulrich

Mike Ulrich is Associate Professor of Management at Utah State University's Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. He co-directs the Human Resource Competency Study, a global research initiative spanning 40,000+ professionals across dozens of countries. His scholarship examines strategic HR, human capital resources, executive succession, and organizational capabilities.

Research has been published in premier journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, and Human Resource Management. He has co-authored three books on HR competencies and organizational effectiveness. Current work explores HR analytics implementation and career pathways in people analytics through the HR Analytics ThinkTank.

Teaching includes graduate and undergraduate courses in Human Resource Analytics and Managing Human Capital. Recognitions include the W. Pierce Liles Award and Academy of Management's Best Reviewer award.
