Mike Blum

Dr. Mike Blum is a Professor and CAS Associate Dean for Research & Creative Activity at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is affiliated with the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology within the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on socioecology of disasters, coastal protection, and freshwater resource management on oceanic islands. He currently recruits graduate students and emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to conservation and sustainability.

Dr. Blum holds a BA in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD in Zoology from Duke University. His work bridges ecological, social, and policy dimensions of environmental challenges.
