Mihaela Mihai is a Professor of Political Theory at the University of Edinburgh's School of Social and Political Science. She holds a Personal Chair and leads research in critical social theory, political emotions, and transitional justice. Her work bridges political theory, cultural studies, and gender studies.

Research Interests: Focus on political emotions (eco-emotions), political memory, art and architecture in politics, gender, and democratic theory. Her recent projects include an AHRC-funded study on environmental emotions and an ERC-funded initiative on complex complicity in human rights violations.
