Dr. Michelle Maugham-Macan is a Lecturer in Biomedical Science at the School of Health, University of the Sunshine Coast, specializing in bone biology and cancer research. She holds a PhD from Queensland University of Technology and dual bachelor's degrees in Biomedical Science and Biotechnology.
Her research examines the impact of childhood conditions and cancer on bone biology, particularly early-onset osteoporosis in Down Syndrome and adipose tissue effects on bone metastases. She actively contributes to the Australian and New Zealand Bone and Mineral Society and Trisomy 21 Research Society.
