Michelle L. Ivey

Michele L. Ivey is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Houston. She serves as a clinical education supervisor for on- and off-campus placements and is the Speech Language Pathology Core Faculty for the LoneStar Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) grant. She also chairs the Undergraduate Committee of the University of Houston Faculty Senate.

She prioritizes critical thinking in clinical decision-making and interprofessional collaboration.

Teaching & Mentorship: Teaches courses like Remediation of Childhood Language Disorders and Language Development. Guides clinicians in evidence-based methodologies and supports student research projects on language disorders and autism spectrum disorder.
