MICHELLE KAZMER is Professor & Dean of the College of Communication & Information at Florida State University (FSU), leading the School of Information. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Information Sciences), an MLS from the University of Pittsburgh, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University. Her career spans roles as an engineering librarian, technical information specialist, and rare book cataloger.
Her research focuses on applying information science theories to detective fiction (particularly Agatha Christie studies), health research (Alzheimer’s caregiver support, HPV vaccination), and qualitative methods.
