Dr. Michelle Johnson is a Lecturer in Law at the The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London, where she has been employed full-time since 2019. Her prior roles include lecturing at the University of Reading and Activate Learning (Oxford Brookes affiliate), where she designed modules on Criminal Justice and Social Context for the FdA Policing Programme. She also served as a Law (Research) Fellow at Georgetown University (2016–17), contributing to the Oxford History of the Laws of England.

Research Interests span Legal History, Reformation Studies, and the intersection of Law and Religion. Her work explores 16th-century English legal figures like Christopher St German, the 1533 break with Rome, and the evolution of the English Church. She also focuses on Legal Education pedagogy, including student rapport, inclusivity strategies, and legal skills development.
Teaching includes co-leading Legal Reasoning and teaching Contract Law and Law of Tort. Though currently unable to supervise PhDs, she has prior supervision experience. Her publications analyze early modern legal texts and manuscripts, reflecting her interdisciplinary approach.
