Lisa Spirakes

Lisa Spirakes is a Senior Lecturer in Professional Legal Education at the The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London, where she joined the PLI team in September 2023 to teach on the MSc in Law & Professional Practice. She holds affiliations with King’s College London’s Strand Campus in London, WC2R 2LS.

Education and Professional Background:

• Bachelor of Law (J.D.) from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.
• LLM in Human Rights and Public Law from University College London.

Research and Teaching Focus:

• Research Interests: Legal Ethics, Land Law, Housing, Landlord & Tenant, and Public Law.
• Teaching Expertise: Land Law, Real Estate Practice, and Legal Education across LLB, GDL, LLM, and PGDL programs.

Professional Experience:

• Former employment discrimination attorney in San Francisco.
• Worked at Camden Citizens Advice.
• Lecturer and supervising solicitor at University of East London’s Legal Advice Centre.

Labs/Teams: Currently part of King’s PLI team and previously involved with UEL’s Legal Advice Centre.
