Michał Szczerba

Michał Szczerba is a French horn performer and educator at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, where he teaches the French horn class since 2016. He holds the position of Principal Horn with the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk and has performed as a soloist with prominent orchestras across Poland and internationally. A member of the Hornet Quartet, he won the Silver Medal at the Svirel Competition (Slovenia) and a competition organized by the International Horn Society in Brazil. His discography includes solo, chamber, and orchestral recordings. Szczerba is also a Stomvi artist and has collaborated with leading orchestras such as the Malaysian Philharmonic and the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra.

His career includes co-founding the Hevelius Brass quintet (2004–2014) and participation in master classes at the Corno Brass Music Festival. Awards include an Honorable Mention at the 2006 National French Horn Competition in Łódź.
