Michał Białkowski

Dr Michał Białkowski is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Szczecin. His research focuses on intersections of civil law and medical law, particularly patient rights, medical malpractice liability, and alternative compensation systems for medical injuries. He holds a PhD in Legal Sciences from Adam Mickiewicz University (2018) and practices as an attorney specializing in civil law and medical law since 2018.

He teaches courses on civil obligations, medical patient rights, civil procedure, and healthcare contracts. Holds roles including member of the Civil Law and Procedure Research Team, secretary of the Medical Law program board, internship supervisor, and disciplinary committee member. His recent work compares Poland's medical compensation system with New Zealand's no-fault model and explores ICT-related medical liability in diagnostic processes.

Key publications address patient pastoral care rights, judicial enforcement limitations in healthcare contexts, energy consumer protections, and statutory time limits for medical incident claims. Active in legal education and practitioner support through university legal clinics and professional training programs.
