Michael TK Lam is a Visiting Lecturer of Voice at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), located in CFA Building Room 139. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), and degrees from University of California, Santa Barbara (BA in Sociology with minors in German Studies and Music), University College London (MA in Music Education), and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (MMus in Vocal Performance).
His performance career includes roles such as Peter Quint in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw, Neptune in Sams’ The Enchanted Island, and Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. He has performed with institutions like dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, Modern Opera Studio, and Vienna Summer Music Festival, under conductors such as Paul Wingfield and Marzio Conti.
Lam has received awards including first place in the NATS Las Vegas competition and New England Music Festival. His training includes masterclasses with artists like Darrell Babidge and Roderick Williams OBE, and coaching sessions with Daniel Sarge and Stephen Barlow.
