Michael P. Markey, PhD, is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at Wright State University's Boonshoft School of Medicine and Director of the Center for Genomics Research (CGR). His research integrates genomics, molecular biology, and cancer biology, with projects spanning melanoma genetics, RNA epigenetics, motion sickness neurogenomics, and molecular diagnostics. The CGR facilitates collaborative research in neuroscience, toxicology, and oncology.
Dr. Markey teaches graduate courses including Molecular Biology of Cancer, Systems Biology, and Molecular Biology of the Nucleus. He has advised 7 thesis students and served on committees for 30+ trainees. Service roles include:
