Michael Moore

Michael Moore is a Senior Lecturer in Ceramics at the Belfast School of Art, Ulster University. He is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) and a Higher Education Authority (HEA) Fellow. His academic roles include leading the Creative Ecologies Research Cluster, coordinating modules in Product Design, and serving as an External Examiner at GMIT, Galway.

Moore's research focuses on studio-based ceramics, blending traditional and contemporary creative processes to explore themes of location, place, well-being, and recovery. His publications include studies on architectural ceramics in Dublin, reflecting his interests in cultural heritage and art-design integration. Moore has exhibited in major international biennials and symposiums, including the Korean Ceramics Biennial (2018) and Gyeonggi International Ceramics Biennial (2019).
