Dr. Timothy Moore is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Monash University, where he also leads research in gender-sensitive design through XYX Lab. He directs Sibling Architecture, a practice exploring temporary urbanism and cultural projects, and curates Melbourne Design Week for the National Gallery of Victoria. His work bridges academia, practice, and public engagement through exhibitions at venues like the Istanbul Design Biennial and São Paulo Architecture Biennial. Moore's research focuses on transitional urbanism, queer spatial practices, and inclusive urban design.
Education: Holds degrees in Architecture, Planning, Commerce/Arts, and Indonesian studies from the University of Melbourne. Completed a PhD (2021) on transitional urbanism's instruments at the University of Melbourne.
Research Interests: Gender equity in architecture, queer urbanism, temporary architecture's role in urban development, and inclusive city design. His XYX Lab projects like HyperSext City and Contentious Cities use data visualization and participatory methods to address gendered spatial inequities.
