Michael Meyer

Prof. Dr. Michael Meyer is a Professor of English Studies (C4) at the Institute of English and American Studies, University of Koblenz-Landau, Campus Koblenz. He has held visiting professorships at the University of Sunderland (UK) in 2015 and 2018, and at the University of Western Australia, Perth, in 2006 and 2009. His roles include Vice Dean for Research (2017-2019), Head of the Department of English & American Studies (WS 18/19-WS 19/20), and leadership in academic self-administration across multiple committees.

• Research Focus: Literature, Cultural Studies, Subject Didactics, African Literature, Digital Humanities, and Colonial/Postcolonial Literatures.
• Organized Conferences: 'Romantic Explorations' (Koblenz 2009), 'Word & Image in Colonial and Postcolonial Literatures and Cultures' (Koblenz 2006).
