Michael Malley

Michael Malley is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of National Security Affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School, where he teaches courses in comparative politics, international relations, and maritime security. His research examines the response of U.S. allies and partners to China's economic, diplomatic, and military power in the Indo-Pacific region.

His research focuses on:

• Southeast Asian politics and security
• International relations theory
• Maritime domain strategies
• Comparative political systems

He has led research projects for defense and security agencies including the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and Department of State.
