Michael Lawrence

Michael Lawrence is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the WCHP Interprofessional Anatomy Lab at the University of New England. He teaches kinesiology, biomechanics, anatomy, and exercise science, leveraging his background as a competitive powerlifter.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Leadership in Health and Human Performance, Concordia University Chicago
• M.S. in Biomechanics, Ball State University
• B.S. in Exercise Science, Ball State University

Research focuses on biomechanical analysis of resistance exercises for rehabilitation and athletic performance enhancement. As an elite powerlifter (competitive bests: 825lb squat, 500lb bench, 710lb deadlift), he integrates clinical and performance perspectives.

He investigates load management, movement efficiency, and injury prevention in strength sports. Member of Northeast Iron Works Powerlifting team.
