Michael Keck

Dr. Michael Keck is a Professor of Chemistry and Chair of the Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Keuka College, where he has served since 2008. Previously, he taught for 13 years at Emporia State University in Kansas. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. from the University of California at Berkeley.

His research specializes in nucleic acids biochemistry and the development of photodynamic therapy agents. He actively collaborates with researchers at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) to design and evaluate therapeutic compounds. His teaching expertise spans general chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, and inorganic chemistry, with a strong emphasis on mentoring student research projects.
