Michael Holley is an Associate Professor of Journalism at Boston University's College of Communication. He has authored six New York Times bestselling books and has over a decade of experience in daily newspapers, including roles at the Akron Beacon Journal, Boston Globe, and Chicago Tribune. He contributed to the Beacon Journal's Pulitzer Prize-winning team in 1994. Holley also has extensive electronic media experience, including co-hosting a sports-talk radio show in Boston for 13 years and studio shows on NBC Sports Boston.
His research and professional interests span journalism, media studies, and electronic media, with a focus on sports and investigative reporting. Holley integrates his industry experience into teaching, mentoring students in journalism and media practices. Recent student projects under his guidance include investigations in Tijuana immigration issues and harness racing, earning statewide recognition.
