Michael Beazely is an Associate Professor at the University of Waterloo, holding dual cross-appointments in the Faculty of Science (Department of Biology) and Faculty of Applied Health Sciences (School of Public Health). He serves as the Chair of Rural Substance Use at Gateway CERH and as Associate Dean for Graduate and Postdoctoral Scholars. His research bridges molecular neuroscience and public health initiatives.

This work has implications for understanding schizophrenia, depression, and addiction mechanisms.
Harm Reduction Research: Focuses on pharmacist-led interventions for substance use, including naloxone distribution economics, educational tool development for health professionals, and assessment of community pharmacy roles in harm reduction programs.
