Dr. Michael Bain is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of New South Wales (UNSW). His research focuses on integrating machine learning with declarative programming to create explainable AI systems, particularly for complex domains like bioinformatics, social networks, and medical informatics. He has taught courses including Machine Learning and Data Mining and Computational Bioinformatics.
