Michael Awad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on gender roles among men of color, psychosocial wellbeing, and cultural psychology. He developed the Multicultural Gender Roles Scale (Male Version), a psychometric tool to assess how societal stereotypes impact masculinity perceptions among marginalized groups. Awad holds a PhD from Columbia University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale.
