Prof. Dr. Michael Amberg is a full-time Professor of Business Informatics, specializing in IT Management, at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). He has held this chair since 2001 and serves as director of the Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center for Business and Society since 2010. Formerly, he occupied a professorship at RWTH Aachen University (1999–2001) and served as Vice Dean and Dean of FAU's Faculty of Law and Economics (2007–2012).
