Merle Becker

Merle Becker is a Lecturer in Digital Media Production at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY. Her career spans television production, documentary filmmaking, and freelance video work through her company, Freakfilms, Inc.

She produced the award-winning documentary American Artifact: The Rise of American Rock Poster Art, now in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and maintains a YouTube channel for video tutorials (DIY Film with Merle Becker).

Her recent projects include revitalizing Knight Radio (MSMC campus station) and advising the student-led video series Last Friday Knight. Articles and documentaries highlight her expertise in visual media, historical preservation, and television production.
