Meredith M. Hegg

Meredith M. Hegg is an Associate Professor of Instruction in the Department of Mathematics at Temple University, part of the College of Science and Technology. She holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Temple University (2012) and a B.A. in Economics from Swarthmore College (2000). Her career includes teaching roles at Harvard University (2012–2014) and high school math teaching in North Philadelphia, alongside prior work as a paralegal. Her primary research interests focus on mathematics education, particularly teacher preparation and pedagogical strategies.

Dr. Hegg’s professional journey reflects a commitment to education accessibility and STEM training. After a hiatus for family, she rejoined Temple’s math faculty in 2015. Her office is located in Wachman Hall 628, and she can be reached at (215) 204-7843.
