Dr Meredith K. D. Hawking is a Lecturer in Social Science at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London. She holds a PhD, MPH, and BSc. Her roles include being an NIHR School of Primary Care Post-doctoral Research Fellow and a Qualitative Research Fellow for the ActEarly collaborative in Tower Hamlets. Her research focuses on health practices, illness narratives, and moral discourses at the intersection of public health and social science, particularly in child health, household practices, and clinical communication. She coordinates the ‘Thinking Between The Lines’ qualitative health research network and teaches on Wellcome-funded programs.
