Mercy Adaji is an Associate Tutor in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of East Anglia, affiliated with the Norwich Business School. She holds an MSc from the University of Dundee focusing on Nigeria’s energy security, an MSc from the University of Ibadan, and a BSc from Salem University Lokoja.
Her research examines sustainable development challenges in Africa through economic and policy lenses. Primary interests include energy security, electricity market dynamics, healthcare financing mechanisms, and macroeconomic growth drivers in emerging economies.
Recent publications analyze renewable energy integration through cross-border electricity trade (2025), determinants of electricity consumption in Nigeria (2020), and relationships between stock market development and investment growth (2020). Her work consistently addresses sustainable development goals through empirical analysis of African economies.
