Melissa Lenos serves as a Part-Time Instructor in the Department of English at the University of Pittsburgh's Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences. She concurrently holds the role of Senior Director of Graduate Advising and Engagement for the Humanities. Previously, she was Associate Professor of English and Chair of Liberal Arts & Sciences at Donnelly College.
Her research focuses on narratology and media pedagogy, with publications in Cinema Journal: In Focus, Antenna, and In Media Res. She is co-author of the forthcoming book Generation X: The Popular Culture that Defined the MTV Generation and co-editor of Televising True Crime: The True Crime Genre in the Digital Age.
Her academic work bridges literary analysis, digital media studies, and pedagogical innovation. Recent publications emphasize evolving media narratives, cultural impact of digital platforms, and interdisciplinary approaches to humanities education.
