Melinda Lyons

Melinda Lyons is Senior Lecturer and Academic Lead in Ergonomics/Human Factors/Psychology at the University of Derby's College of Health, Psychology and Social Care. Her applied research focuses on workplace health and wellbeing interventions.

Research Focus: Investigates ergonomic solutions for workplace challenges, pain management strategies for industrial workers, and nature-based interventions for mental health. Her interdisciplinary work bridges psychology, occupational health, and human factors engineering.

Recent Publications: Includes studies on PPE design during the COVID-19 pandemic, exercise participation among factory workers with chronic pain, and systematic review of nature walk therapies for anxiety and depression.
